Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you visit this website or get in touch with us.
Easi Evs Limited, trading as EASiEVs ("we", "us", "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Easi Evs Limited
Registered in Scotland, Company No. SC894848
Registered office: 76 Hamilton Road, Motherwell, ML1 3BY, Scotland
Email: office@easievs.co.uk
Phone: 07386 416102
We are the "data controller" for the personal data described in this policy — meaning we decide how and why it is processed.
2. What personal data we collect
We only collect personal data that you give us directly, or that is generated automatically when you use our website:
- Enquiry/quote form data: full name, phone number, email address, postcode, the service you're interested in, and any message or property details you choose to share.
- Communications: if you email, call, or message us, we keep a record of that correspondence so we can respond and follow up.
- Technical data: when you submit a form, our server automatically logs your IP address, the page you submitted from, and the date/time — this helps us identify spam and keep the site secure.
- Cookies and analytics data: if you consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (see our Cookie Policy for full details). We do not use analytics data to identify you personally.
We do not knowingly collect any special category data (such as health or financial information) through this website.
3. Why we process your data, and our legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis under UK GDPR |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry, providing quotes, and arranging site surveys or installations | Taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business |
| Following up on an enquiry by phone, email, or text | Legitimate interests — providing the service you asked about |
| Keeping records of correspondence and enquiries | Legitimate interests, and legal obligations (e.g. accounting records, once you become a customer) |
| Website analytics (Google Analytics) | Your consent, given via our cookie banner — you can withdraw this at any time |
| Preventing spam and abuse of our contact form | Legitimate interests in keeping our website secure |
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary, with:
- Our website hosting provider, who stores and transmits the enquiry emails on our behalf;
- Our email provider, for receiving and responding to enquiries;
- Google, for website analytics — but only once you've given consent (see our Cookie Policy);
- Manufacturers, funding bodies (such as OZEV), or subcontractors, where necessary to deliver a service you've asked for, arrange a grant, or provide installation certification;
- Regulators, courts, or authorities, where we're required to by law.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers (including Google, where analytics consent is given) may process data on servers located outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK-US Data Bridge or Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure your data remains protected.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and correspondence records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and handle any follow-up — normally no longer than 24 months from your last contact with us. If your enquiry becomes a paying customer relationship, we retain the relevant records for as long as required by our accounting, warranty, and legal obligations (typically up to 6 years after the work is completed).
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Ask us to delete your data, where we no longer need it or you withdraw consent;
- Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing;
- Ask for your data in a portable format, where applicable;
- Withdraw consent at any time (for example, by rejecting analytics cookies) without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, email office@easievs.co.uk. We'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to resolve any concern directly first.
8. Children's privacy
Our website and services are aimed at adults arranging EV charger installations and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including secure (HTTPS) transmission of this website and restricted access to enquiry data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
10. Cookies
This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Full details, including what each one does and how to control them, are in our Cookie Policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our services or the law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. We encourage you to review it periodically.
12. Contact us
