The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) administers the Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Grant, which was updated on 1 April 2026 and now provides up to £500 towards a home charger install. It's aimed at renters, flat owners, landlords, and households with on-street parking — rather than homeowners with a private driveway. We're an OZEV-approved installer, so we can check your specific eligibility during a free survey and handle the claim once your charger is installed.
It depends on your property — most straightforward installs are completed within a single day, but the exact time depends on your cable route, consumer unit, and charger position. We'll confirm a realistic timescale during your free survey before any work begins. We leave your home tidy and issue certification on the day.
All installations carry a minimum 12-month labour warranty from EASiEVs. Charger hardware is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which varies by brand — typically 2–3 years. We'll provide you with all documentation and help you register the warranty at point of install.
You don't — but your installer does. As NAPIT registered electricians, we can self-certify the electrical work we carry out, meaning your installation is fully Building Regulation compliant without the need for a separate local authority inspection. We provide a certificate of compliance on completion.
